Founded in 1852, the California University of Pennsylvania is a public university with over 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The campus spans 294 acres and includes 38 different buildings. Cal U is a proud member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Located one mile from the university is California University’s 98-acre recreational complex; the George H. Roadman University Park. This complex consists of a football stadium, various sports facilities and picnic facilities.
California University’s athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. They are one of the more successful athletic squads in the PSAC and have won four National Championships over the years, including
